STORY
Zymphony is the first born foal out of our broodmare, First Spirit, who was bought for €80,000 at the 2019 Goffs February Sale in Ireland.
The vision of our breeding project in Denmark is to produce high-quality bloodstock based on one of the best families in the international stud book.
In 2021 Zymphony will head into training with Niels Petersen at his new yard at Klampenborg, Denmark.

Zymphony is by Coolmore’s G1 winning superstar miler Zoffany (by Dansili) – pictured – who won five times at 2 and 3 including the Phoenix Stakes (G1) at 2, while he was runner-up to Frankel in The St James’s Palace Stakes (G1) at Royal Ascot at 3.
Zoffany has sired G1 winners Albigna (2019) and Ventura Storm, as well as a long range of other top level performers during his career at stud in Ireland.
Zymphony’s dam, First Spirit, was born in America in 2015 in the care of HH Prince Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms. She is by G1 winning sire First Defence (by Unbridled’s Song) – pictured – who is also the sire of one of Europe’s leading 2yo’s of 2019, Siskin.
First Spirit, herself unraced, is out of Listed winner Choice Spirit (by Danzig) and half-sister to the dam of G1 Prix Jean Romanet winner Announce and G3 Prix de la Grotte winner Mexican Gold.
Moreover, Choice Spirit is a half-sister to HH Prince Khalid Abdullah’s mighty Zafonic (by Gone West), 4-time G1 winner incl. Dewhurst Stakes, Prix Morny, Prix de la Salamandre and 2000 Guineas Stakes.
Zafonic was Champion 2- and 3-y-o in Europe before becoming Champion Sire at stud.
